MADE IN AFRICA WEEK 2015: Designers

House Of Rubi

Tenneh Wilkins, an upcoming Liberian American fashion Designer started her Afro-Chic fashion line House of Rubi in celebration of her African heritage. During her childhood years, she watched in awe as her well traveled mother adorned herself in lavish West African robes, hand woven Moroccan fabrics and European fashions.  The name "House of Rubi" honors her mother Rudene and in vogue socialite aunt, Rubitha. House of Rubi vibrantly chic fashions caters to individuals who exuberantly, artistically and confidently use style to personify their unique attributes. The overall brand promotes culture, confidence and creativity.

Tenneh Wilkins goals are to utilize socially and educationally conscious platforms to develop a fashion brand that gives back to the Liberian and other urban communities.
